I don't want to sound like I want growth now now now and that I'm not worrying about the health of my hair because eventually that will lead to disaster I know. But I'm not made of money especially right now, so I was wondering if some people could give me brand names of certain pills that have directly helped with "growth". I do so much to keep my hair healthy as far as outwardy and I'm starting to drink more water, get more exercise, and change my diet so I think tha'ts enough for right now, but I need some growth to keep me inspired. Sorry such a long post. Plz help me out here!

Well I know AminoHair pills (by the nutritionary) are suppose to be for hair growth and nothing else really. I had a thread about it about 2weeks ago.

You know what I found? If you take a good multi-vitamine with minerals you should gain alot. Yesterday I was thinking of changing my multi-vitamin for another brand and as I research the contents of other brands I realize that alot of "hair pills" are really multi-vitams. Most times the multi-vitamins with minerals contian even more ingredients and a higher percentage.

Take a look at HF37 Step 1 can be compared with any good multi. like Twin Lab multi vitams. Step 2 are amino acids that can be found in any amino formulars. And look at that outragous price!!!!

Get a MultiVitamine with Minerals and a Protein Powder supplement. I have a 5lb container of Whey Protein powder for 30.00, this should last me for months. Try this and you are set!

Oh yeah I started drinking my protein shakes again (with whey protein) mostly for weight/muscle gain though, I hope it has a positive effect on my growth also.

how many of the twin lab amino acids are you supposed to take a day?

I use to take the liquid amino acid by Twin Lab but recently I started the Whey powder. Just 2 table spoons for the liquid amino. Also since you are watching your diet and eating healthy, I would guess that you are getting a healthy serving of protien and vegatables then you should be fine. This is what I had been supplementing my diet with for a few years. I swear it really helped for growth alot. Amino Fuel

This is what I started to take: Whey Protein

I think the Twinlab Amino Fuel and the PP Biotin is what really increased the amount of growth I get. I noticed that my hair was growing faster when I was just taking a multi and the aminos. When I introduced all the other supplements, I didn't notice any faster growth. Last month, I decreased the amount of biotin I was taking because it was interfering w/my cycle and it seems like my growth rate has slowed.

I had been noticing new growth two weeks after my relaxer and I'm not really noticing it this time. Maybe it's all mental.

But, I'm going to try gradually increasing my biotin back up to 5 mgs a day and see what happens.
