For those of you who do the caramel treatment, do you shampoo it out? I ask because I get yucky grainy leftovers in my hair from rinsing alone. If you rinse and don't get yucky leftovers, what's your procedure?

Do you use baby food bananas or mash them yourself? I find that I have more gunk if I dont use baby food. I still do mash them myself sometimes though and just run the water through it for a long time, then I cowash and then rinse again really well. This USUALLY gets everything out.

I always use the banana baby food, and I've never had any 'gunk' left. The grainy bits are most likely the banana seeds if you are using fresh bananas.... :yep: And it's cheap! Cost less than bananas, and if you catch them on sale, stock up as they last for a good minute....

i never use bananas for that reason...and on top of that...i dont have that kinda time lol. But yes i poo out the treatment and it still works

I mash the bananas myself. Hmm ... maybe that's it. Thanks for the advice!

Good point! Banana baby food is cheaper too? Thanks!
