Everytime I color my hair the color never looks like the color I picked out. It's always at least a shade or two darker. I even try to pick out a lighter color than I actually want and that doesn't work. This past weekend at the salon I chose a chocolate brown color. My hair came out looking black. The only time you can see a little bit of brown is in the light or sunlight. The time before that I had wanted honey/light blonde highlights. My hair came out some dark blondish color. There were only a few strands toward the bottom that looked the actual color. The thing is, my hair turns but after it's washed or dryed it looks darker. Also I know that it is not the stylist or the color used. What's up with my hair?

How do you know it is not the stylist or the color? It could be your porosity...just throwing it out there...
