Pre-pooing is applying a some type of treatment to the hair before shampooing. Most people use a combination of conditioner and oils on dry hair with a plastic cap and let it sit for a while before shampooing. I personally find that pre-pooing eliminates tangles and protects my hair from so of the detergents in shampoos.
