Okay so as many of you know... I am about to launch my kickstarter video soon for the CWK straight plates (the hair stretching tool which allows you to straighten hair without heat). I am use to roller-setting my own hair by using olive oil lotta body, but my hair is pretty loosely curled and straightens pretty easily. I am finding that I need a stronger hold for my type 4 girls. What do you suggest that I use for the demo for the kinky (type 4) hair model?

Why do people use setting lotions? Does it make the curls last longer? I don't use a setting lotion.

i really like foam wraps for my type 4 hair. you actually want something with more moisture than you might think. a hold that's too tight will result in sticky feeling hair. hard to describe what i'm trying to say.
keracare makes a nice one.

knbradley what hair lotion did you use on the type 4 model. Whatever it was, it worked really well-- her hair came out super-straight/stretched and shiny. I noticed you slathered something on and it gave me some ideas. Was it a butter, cream or lotion? What was it? Thanks

Hey ladies .... I used the ION leave in conditioner and Kera Care Foaming Wrap Lotion for the model hair in the video I love that stuff and I really like the Olive Oil LottaBody :-)

Great invention!

I have coarse hair and I like Lottabody Olive Oil or Regular, Nairobi Foam or B&B Foaming Lotion. I like to use Lottabody for hold mixed with a foam for volume.
