I keep reading that different kinds of combs are the best. What IS the best non damaging type of wide tooth comb? Rubber? Non snaggly plastic or wood or metal or what?
Conair and Jilbere make seamless plastic shower combs with a hook at the handle for hanging and rounded bulbs on the teeth. Perfect for conditioner washes. There are a couple of threads here praising them. It's about $1.99 at Sally's (Jilbere) or even at your local supermarket (Conair). The two brands look identical. They don't chew up my hair like my black wide-tooth Ace comb did, but then again, I'm only combing in the shower with conditioner anymore.
Here's another site with a lot of different bone combs to choose from. I ordered two different combs for $20 bucks including the shipping and handling. http://www.colordesignsystems.com/
you can also get Bone combs from Tenderheaded.com I have bought several here... but a few of the tortoise ones are flimsy ... the Nubone is good though.
I have also bought from Hairsense.com, but the ends of the comb didn't seems to be as rounded as the Nubone I got from Tenderheaded.
Stormy--are you sure its the same thing--they may look the same but check to see if they have any seams. The reason these combs are more than $2 is becasue they are seamless.
