I did not know this is bad...how is wet bunning not good for the hair?

I was confused about this for a while, too, but I read about it somewhere on the forum. This is how I understand it:

When your hair is wet, the strands are slightly stretched out. When you put really wet hair into a bun (at least a tight one), as it dries, there is a lot of tension on the strands when they shrink back to their normal length. Most of this tension is placed on the hairline and where the bun is made.

I guess if you loosely put your wet hair in a bun, or bunned while your hair is only slightly damp, then it's not so much of a problem.

I hope I explained that right.
