i'm just curious to know what moisturizers can be used with gels besides scurl and shea butter? i'm asking because i really don't like using bb oil moisturizer hair lotion with gel because it will create white balls in my hair when i'm washing it. sorry if this question have already been asked. tia.

Moisturizer as a daily moisturizer or a leave-in?

I use Aloe Vera Gel almost daily with Giovanni Direct Leave-in, but I have to apply the leave-in first and then the gel because if I mix it up in my hands first, it would clump up.

As far as moisturizers, I usually moisturize my hair at night. I use avocado butter, shealoe, etc.

When I was transitioning, I wore buns mainly. I would moisturize with maybe some Shea Butter, Jane Carter, or Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. Since you aren't looking for Shea Butter, maybe you could try a moisturizer like Elasta QP Mango Butter, ORS Olive Oil (I don't really care for mineral oil, but I know this product works for some), etc. Usually after moisturizing, I would smooth my hair back with some gel (Fantasia IC).

I don't really know how else to answer your question, so I hope this helps.

i'm talking about hair lotion moisturizers with any kind of gels but thanks for your reply.

What kind of gel soror?
I personally use the moisturizer from the lady who wrote the book 6 inches of hair in a year. I forget her name and already moved my product to my hubbie's house, but I use that with elasta qp gel or with a lil black gel (I know I know- it's only when i do an updo for staying power).

Now I use that if I need something creamy based, but for buns I use waterbased and I use the infusium 23 moisturizing formula in the white bottle not the new grey bottle.
