In the grocery store? is it with the regular milk? dont laugh!:) also, how long does it keep and how much do u use?

You can make your own coconut milk from coconuts or take the easy way and buy it canned from West Indian, Spanish, or Asian food stores. Some general supermarkets also carry it in the "ethnic" sections.

I just bought some yesterday and I'm about to try it tonight. I got mine from a regular grocery store (Krogers), I'm in Texas so I'm not sure if they have Krogers in Florida but you should still be able to find it. It was not with the regular milk, condensed, evaporated, or powdered milk or in the baking section. I had actually given up looking for it and accidently found it on my way out the store as mentioned in the previous post, in the ethnic food section.

I'll let you know later tonight how it works for me.

thanks ladies...cowgirl, Im originally from TN and when I first moved here to FL, everyone would always say WHERE are you from, TEXAS??? lol:) your pic got me thinking about that...

You must have that southern drawl going on too.

I was in NY a couple of weeks ago and everyone was asking me where I was from. They thought I was from the Island's somewhere. I was like yeah, the island of Texas.

You asked other things too!

It's in the aisle with international foods. I keep it in the fridge for about a week. I use about an ounce or two of it when I mix it with stuff.

I purchased mine at Wal-Mart in the Ethnic Foods Section. I'm going to stock up on more of the milk and buy some coconut oil from there also.

It's a common food item actually. It can be found in the Latin and Asian (Thai/Indian more specifically) food section of the market. I purchase @ any regular grocery & the health food store. The Latin version is nice and heavy in oil, but the milk itself is more watery. The Thai/Indian version is thicker and creamier. Both work well. It will keep for 2 weeks in the fridge, but you can also freeze it and use it longer. I think even after the 2 weeks it may not be ripe for consumption, but my hair doesn't seem to care.
