after reading this board daily, it can confuse me in that i see some things working for some and for others, no go...however, when someone brings up a new product, ladies that appear to have things going good will respond that they will try the new product.

i'm from the school of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...

and i was just wondering if there was ANYONE on this board that was content with the products that they are using or is everyone just trying everything?

Well, i've been buying a lot of products lately in hope of finding ones that work for my hair....some are products i've used off and on over the years so i'm just reviting them. I am actually very content with my purchases and i will not be buying into anything else.

I'm recently relaxed after being natural for quite some time and I'm still in search of the products that work best for my hair. Until then, I'm a pj.

ya im pretty much set i tsill like to try new things plus this is my nutral hair dont know about when i relax

I'm very content with my regimen but I am always on the look out for new moisturizers and serums:)

I m easy to tempt i have my staples as far as vits and products for my regimen but then there s another list where i m not sure and just starting out: flat irons ( i still dont know which are good), heat protectant (i will scan all the info here for when i m ready to purchase for summer 07), anything henna/indigo (hehe thanks to Sareca i think i can navigate but still have to try things), i m willing to learn about new herbs, new oils, and just yesterday i bought a new grease while purchasing my wild growth hair oil hehe once a pj... i so loooooooooooove that grease just used it on my scalp it looks natural its called Nature's Blessings it looked natural and homemade so i wanted to try it hihi:cool: i know i know even though i already have greases i just love to try stuff:grin:  :lachen:

I like experimenting...consider me the "product test dummy" I guess that makes me a 'forever pj' :look: :p

I feel that initially we all start off wanting to try everything under the sun in an effort to begin our journey to long healthy hair. Its a learning curve that we go thru and when we find the right products that work for us we feel like we have hit the jackpot. There will always be new products out there and we learn new things everyday. I am always open to trying new products. But I do have a rule. Cant buy more of one line until I have completely used up the old product. This help my sanity, pocket book, and cabinets clutter free!

I'm content. I know exactly what my hair likes now and I have several "staple" brands. It took awhile to get here though.

I'm not against trying new things, but if I do I will only get a sample size instead of rushing out and buying a big bottle only to hate it. Much cheaper this way.

I used to buy new products constantly and most of them I ended up giving to my sisters when they didn't work out for me.

I'm content. I use 5 products on my hair: 1.) conditioner ~ the cheapies --- but goodies; 2.) Fantasia IC gel; 3.) 100% unrefined shea butter; 4.) World of Curls Moisturizing Oil Sheen, and finally 5.) Qhemet Biologics Alma & Olive Heavy Cream.

I rotate between all of them, and they last for months on end. I don't see a need to continue to waste money purchasing products when I've got a good thing going right now.

If it ain't broke... ;)

now, i can SO live with this...i bought almost everything eqp, then today bought almost everything loreal nature's therapy, but my eqp is not gone, so i think i'm gonna return the loreal to sally's and get the mane and tail stuff for after all the eqp runs out for me and all the carol's daughter runs out for my daughters...*whew*

i really wanna be content, so i think i'm gonna start off by trying the staples of lhcf first since i know those work ;)

i'll be getting the mtg tomorrow from my local feed shop, so i hope i can at least stick with that...

i want to be like you when i grow up!
but really, tho, i think samples are ultimately the way to go...

It took some trial and error for me and luckily i didnt go overboard but I wanted to. I ended up stickin to what my stylist uses on my hair which is keracare and mizani. I might use a couple other products that I purchased for prepooing and deep conditioning. I think when u are new to this you want to try everything because others are getting results but you have to remember they might have been using it for awhile and it works well for them. I think the only other thing I am tryin is Henna and thats because I want my hair the darkest black I can get it w/ out usage of permanent dye

I am mostly content with my staples but I get an itch to try something new guess I am a PJ fo' life.

I have my staples, but every once in a while I like to try something different. It's good that a lot of vendors sell sample sizes now, that way I can satisfy my curiousity and not break the bank!

I'm trying to find way but I can't resist being a p.j. I've trying to find my holy grail.

PJ HERE!!! Ugh, I hate it. I am buying stuff left and right always looking for something better even if something is working. I just ordered a whole sha-bang of crap from Design Essentials last week and looking forward to my new arrival :) My beloved Elucence is just about out and the conditioner seems to have lost its effect :( time to try somethin new :)

ewwwww...right after i posted in this thread i saw a post entitled "Aveda" read it and headed over to the site and purchased Aveda Sap Moss Poo $ Condish!!! I need help

I am very content with my staples and I know what works for me, but I like to try new products and will always try new products, but not forsake what has worked for me. I will never be a product junkie in the way I was a year ago, but I will always try new products.

I think I have learned to be more disciplined in my purchasing habits. I have a staple of products that I am still refining. I like to try new things, so I think I'll always be a product junkie. Unless I find some miracle product then I'm sold for sure.

PJ forever!! I am one that loves to shop. It just so happens that I have to order everything online because I am not near any of the BSS's. I stop by the post office VERY often.:) This is my "window shopping" alternative.

These could be our PJ Club theme songs!:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

I am a recovering PJ...:D I know what reallly works on my hair, and I have gone back to it, and that is AVEDA products.... I tried to find something else not quite so pricey, but I spent way more in the long run..so Aveda it is!!!! I alternate between the Sap Moss line ( just got the the pre-poo today) and DR. and I also use the Brilliant anti-humectant and the Beautifying oil:look:

I'm very content with my staple products and won't be buying any new products. I do continue to purchase "extras" of my staples, because some of them are discontinued products (i.e. John Freida Relax) and I want to pile up while I can still find them available online or in some BSS's or drugstores. :) :)

I think I am content with what I have. I have plenty of oils, conditioners, shampoos, and creams. I have wandered into the bss a number of times, only to leave with nothing. So I think I am officially over trying new stuff. I have actually moved on to skin care so I think I might have just shifted to another category of pj:perplexed

Right now, I am on to get some more quality combs and hair accessories, and possibly look into getting better appliances.

I have the current mind-set that there is always something better and I'd rather try something once than to not try it at all and miss out on something great in the process. A true PJ justification.
