What brush do you use when doing a dobbie and do I have to sit under a dryer after taking the rollers out. If not how long should I leave it wrap before coming it out.

After the hair has dried, remove the rollars and I use a paddle brush, the ones with the little tiny balls on the end of each prong.

I used to use a comb to wrap which does a good job too but the brush seems to grab the hair from the roots more to really pull the hair around the head and give a sleeker wrap. After tying with a satin scarf, leave it wrapped for a good 3 hours minimum before combing down. I usually leave it overnight.

Me too....I use the same brush and silk scarf over night

BRH...do you put bobby pins...does it leave "marks"/dents in your hair? I use pins the first night I wrap but after that...I don't put pins (or put very few pins) because of the "marks".....wondering if any one else has that problem

I use my Paul Mitchell paddle brush. And then I just maintain it overnight by wearing a satin scarf.

I use the pins and a comb. And yes, I use to LOVE the million little dents that the pins left

but now I only use about 5 or 6 pins because my hair never seems to stay in place long enough to tie that darn scarf on

I have almost shoulder length hair and after doing a wet-set, the next morning I wrap my hair with one of those satin wraps for about 10 minutes without heat and when I comb out with my fingers, my hair is bouncy and full---looks like I bumped the ends with a curling iron.

If I'm doing a dobbie, i go back under the dryer after brushing the curls into a wrap. However, the amount of time you go back under the dryer depends on the amount of curl you want. Hot air to curl, cool air to set, thus I use cool air to set the wrap for no more than 5 minutes if i still want quite a bit of curl, it comes out fantastic!! Also, this is the time to use oil sheen as the heat from the dryer locks in the shine.

Can hair be wrapped using Good Hair Day pins instead of bobby pins? Has anyone tried this?

The style of the Good Hair Days Pins is so different than a bobby pin. I don't see how the Good Hair Days Pins would work in the place of bobby pins for a wrap.

I don't use any pins what so ever, just a vent brush, the one with plastic bristles so i don't get any marks
