I did my BIG CHOP! NOW with pics!

And I love it! And I did it myself! But it's really frizzy. I don't really see any curls...It's confusing. I know I'm not a 4b, NOT that there is anything wrong with 4b. It's awesome.:yep: Does anyone know why this is? I bought some eco styler gel from sally's today because I read very good reviews about it. Do I just need to moisturize my hair or what? Lol. Thanks guys. :)

ETA: I finally have some pictures for you guys.
I parted my hair so you guys could see my curls (despite all the frizz) better. I don't have those really good cameras like you guys. Lol. And yes, I know my scalp is white...LOL.

Here are some more pics for you guys because I didn't know the maximum pics you could attach was 5...Lol.

I don't know if you can tell but my bang area is very very frizzy. I don't remember my natural hair ever being like this at the front.

Can you see the sides of my hair? Whew! Frizz and not really any curl.

Congratulations! The more time you spend getting to know your hair again, the more you will find out what it needs and will work for it. Start simple then go from there. My hair went through a few changes after my BC in December, but I found out that my hair in particular likes to air dry coated with conditioner (Suave Naturals) sealed with either olive oil or castor oil. As you can see in my siggy, I have small waves and curls, but I enjoy frizzing it out into a fluffy fro. My hair and I are having the time of our lives! I hope you and your hair become great friends. HHG =)

Congrats!! Where the pics at? Welcome to the natural side.

I'll upload some soon. I'm nervous though. I see everyone else's big chops looks so good. And Vonnie, your cat looks just like mine! Lol. His name was Spazz but I believe my ex-neighbors stole him because he would always go in there house and when they moved out, Spazz disappeared...:perplexed:sad: Anyways, I'll have those pics soon.

I love your hair! Do you have a fokti? And yeah, I read that some people experienced texture changes a few months after their BC. This going to be fun experimenting with my hair! Lol. I'm too excited. I do know that my hair is really curly at the top. Lol. Whew!

Congrats on your BC!!! I had a similar issue---at first I did not see curl definition but this was because my hair was VERY porous and not absorbing moisture---once I corrected that my lil curlies came to life :) ---Co-washing was my best friend.

Awesome! Thanks. I'll just keep on moisturizing it then.

Thanks girlie. :) I'm going to go check them out. How lond did you transition for??

Congrats lady! I can't wait to see pics. The more you cowash and DC, the more you'll see your actual hair texture. My hair was frizzy and it wasn't really defined for a few days after my BC. Moisture=more curl definition! HTH!

Thanks. I'll do that. BTW, what's your hair type?

its about a month and two weeks after my bc and when I wash my hair with shampoo and condition it ..it has no curls ... (i think my hair hates shampoo) , i have to manipulate it to look cute. However when I cowash my hair ... the curls are there. Its also about what products you use .. are you using a shampoo ... and if so are you using one with sulfates ? Are you moisturising and using styler ?

Congrats!!! When I first did my bc my hair was the same way but after few washes and deep conditioning my curls started showing. I cut too much off in the front because I didnt see a curl pattern at first!

I don't really use shampoo. I don't know if it has sulfates or not. Lol. I use Mane n tail like once a week. Other than that, I co wash with pantene, HE, and Mane n tail (the herbal one). I use HE LTR and Tressemme (sp?) as my moisturizers. Hopefully with time I will get my curls all over. The tops is curly but the sides are just fuzzy....:perplexed
