I know we have the code phrase for when we spot suspected Niko's on the street but I'm scurred to ask. I wanted to start a thread kinda like in those personal ads when you meet some one but you couldn't speak at the time. I don't know what they're called but here I go

Yesterday when I was in Sally's yesterday trying to find a kids size bonnet, I saw your gorgeous bun. So lush and full. You had your baby's car seat attached to the cart and you were reading all of the labels on the conditioner aisle.

Cousin was it you?
 
I met a cousin who's a friend of a friend. We were talking about hair and she said something and used the word "co-wash"! I was so shocked!!! She's a lurker, but a cousin nonetheless.
 
I think I may have met one when I was registering for cosmetology classes yesterday. I meant to ask but got sidetracked.
 
OMG! i had to read that like three times before i realized that OP was paging the cousin she may have met at Sally's. i thought it was a pick up like :lachen: :lachen: my bad!

it wasn't me but i ask people when i have the opportunity. i'm yet to get a positive though. so far, everybody has gone "huh? who's Niko?":rolleyes:
 
I saw a lady yesterday on the bus with a big beautiful curly/wavy afro. And I thought of the Niko's cousin thing.
 
I've wanted to ask a couple of people here in this city...but it is kinda scary for some strange reason....I anticipate the crazy looks I would get if they weren't cousins :lachen:
 
BTW guys, for those learning about Nikos' Cousin, please learn it correctly from the get-go.

It is not Nikko or Niko. It is Nikos. It is the name of the techie that maintains this site and is at the bottom of every page. So his cousin would be Nikos, apostrophe, Cousin.

In other word's it is Nikos' Cousin as it appears on our apparel:

Oh:look:.....:grin::laugh::lachen::rofl:......i had NO clue!! I joined in '08.....but everytime i see a Nikos' cousin thread i'm like.....Now don't they know we need a shirt or somethin??!?!:lachen:...and low and behold....we got mouse pads too!!!:rofl:....why not a hat tho?

:up: I'm so with you there! :yep: I need one to match my shirt and the socks I made from an old shirt. (OK that last bit isn't true...but can't you just see me all pimped out in our apparel? Yanno I'd do it! :dork: )

I think I see so many of you, especially when I'm driving the bus in downtown Chicago.

But i'm just sayin...why we ain't got no hat and we supposed to be all about protecting our precious tresses?

IMHO....i wish we had a different design though....like one head and half of it relaxed and half of it natural but in a black silhouette...kinda like what they have on there but just one head and have the question "Are you Nikos' Cousin?" around it...somethin bout the design throws me off.:perplexed

Also....what does IIRC mean? Thats the 2nd time ive seen that around here!:grin:
 
I know a Nikos' cousin IRL. :yep: I've known her for a while and she had just BC'd and we were talking about hair because I was trying to get to APL. And she mentioned "Nikos' cousin" and I was like, "what do you know about Nikos?" :lachen:

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly

You know small ideas become great inventions/creations...so if you can "create a blueprint", y'never know when an update might be in the works and your suggestion might come in handy. Every now and then, there's a discussion of an update.
