Does anyone use Murray's pomade, specifically their beeswax line?

I just remember how long my hair was as a child and the fact that my mom always had the sort of old school grease products on hand. I tried buying the fancier greases (like the oyin handmade burnt sugar pomade). It's great but it's too expensive. I then recently saw this Murray's beeswax cream at the house of my hair braider. I picked it up and it smelled soooooo good!! An then, :lachen:, I was randomly looking at Long Hair Don't Care channel and she made a video specifically for the beeswax cream. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcnnMT4rUWY It's like a sign from the heavens.

I think after I run out of the burnt sugar pomade, I will get one of these products. Either that or Nature's Blessing. I wasn't sure about the NB though, because I heard it's got a super heavy herbal scent.

Oh and I had to post this because I thought it was too cute.

It's a special Obama can. I really like the Murray's website, it looks very nice.

I used the black beeswax for the first time on 9/3/11 and I loved it! I used it on a plait/2 strand twist and it sealed my ends perfectly! HTH!!

the one in the orange tin has been a staple of mine for years. the only thing that can come close that has better ingredients is beyond the zone stiff head.

I use the liquid and/or cream wax when I have braids. If I have cornrows, I smooth it on my hair and put on a stocking cap at night. In the morning, there are minimal frizzies (my hair is natural, so my braids don't last as long as they used to).

Awesome! That's good to hear. How does it smell? Have you smelled the cream one? Does it smell like that?

To me it has no smell at all. I just finished another twistout about 30 mins ago and I'm sitting under the dryer! In my BSS I just opened up a jar first because I'm sensitive to smell -- if it don't smell right I ain't using it!:yep::yep:

I just used the yellow Murrays tonight after my flat iron. I put some on then put them in bantu knots for a wave. Im hoping it helps to keep it from reverting.

they're way too heavy. perhaps i didn't use the pomade the right way cause my edges just looked greasy and not all that slick...

Are you talking about the actual traditional pomade like the one in the orange can or the beeswax products?

Let me know how it turns out.
