curly ponytail

How do i achieve it without disturbing the curl. Lets say i do a roller set or curlformers or flexirod set and want to pin the curls up into a curly ponytail. How do i do that without elongating the curls. I use to wear that style but my best friend use to do it for me. Every time I try it I end up messing it up and end up straightening the curl and just say forget it and comb it out. So i know i don't use a comb but i don't know where to put the pins. A video would be appreciated . I looked and couldn't find one

What about putting your hair in the ponytail while wet and then putting the rollers in?

I guess.....lol it would look so thin doing it on damp/ wet hair though. I like the thickness of doing the curls

Try using a banana clip for the ponytail. That shouldn't disturb the curls too much.
