Henna - quick question

Do you wash your hair before you Henna? Basically, does henna need to be applied to clean hair?
Also, if it makes a difference, I'm doing it for conditioning qualities. I'm not letting it sit for color penetration.

I normally will wash or co wash before I apply the henna. I have applied the henna on freshly cleaned damp hair and have had no negative problems.

I've done it as a pre-poo and also, washing my hair first. I think it works the same for me.

I agree. I've never washed my hair just before applying the henna and my hair has turned out very well. I guess you can do either.

U can do it either way.. Ive got great results by pre-pooing my hair first then applying henna
