I was looking at miss jessies (curly pudding maker) website and they have instructions and pictures for the NON-chemical process called Shingling.
I was wondering if any of you DIYers had tried this and what were the results.
It does require some heat, but i think you may be able to do without.
Here is the link...

TIA.

Too much product is needed for me to pull it off with my natural hair.:nono: When I was texlaxed, I can do it no problem. I got a cute curly fro.

I was wondering about that. its created FOR natural hair and i know miss jessies CARES about our hair, so it cant be all that bad, right? You think all that product would weigh your hair down? or cause breakage?

Is it in the 'prom pics' album?
you think it came out any better than if you just used leave in conditioner or some other styling product that you dont necessary need to comb through with a comb? TIA

My natural hair sucks up products like a sponge. To get a nice looking WNG style, I'd have to use a lot of gel. I tried the CP, and it made me nauseous from the smell and the amount I had to use.:nono: I washed it out immediately.

Thanks for posting this; I am going to try it on my natural hair. But I will stop at step 10, 'cause that's when her hair looked the prettiest to me. The blow dryer made it too puffy to my liking.
