Some of you may remember my post about my father's wife commenting about me transitioning to natural. She was pretty negative about it while I was wearing my curly hair. Well, this weekend (when I showed up with my straight hair) she said "You gave up and got some hair [meaning weave] put in."

I was so excited to say "No, I just straightened my own hair."

It was hilarious to me I'm glad that she thought I was back to weaving. She has a low fade, platinum blonde to boot, and is always suggesting that every woman shave their head.

i love natural hair. being natural myself and having a considerable length i hear that ever so often. " this can't be all yours" (Shocked faces) and than you slowly see their hands rising up to touch your hair.

I'm natural too. A couple of months ago, a lady walked up to me in the grocery store and said "excuse me for being rude, but I have to ask...is that your real hair" It was right after I'd left the salon from getting it blow dried and flat ironed. I just smiled and told her yes...LOL
