i've gone back and forth

i'm about to go back to washing daily, though

i think i retain moisture better that way.

I think I am a 4a/4b and I co-wash daily or every other day. My hair seem to retain moisture and I have less breakage this way.

Just as long as I clarify! LOL!

I think i will when i get my hands on the "Right Products"
I see alot of ladies get Length Retention and Growth From a
CLEAN SCALP.

I wash daily and it actually helps me to keep tangles to a minimum. I used to wait so long in between washes, that I would have major tangles. So I made the assumption that my hair just tangles badly. But when I started to wash more often and detangle lightly with fingers throughout the week and with a comb once a week, I noticed that my hair didn't have enough time to form major tangles.

It is extra work for me to do this, but I never wear my hair straight so that helps. My hair seems a lot healthier for it. I also love that my hair smells fresh everyday.

I feel The Same way!
I think It Will Reduce Tangles:yep:
Rather than Waiting a week to Comb and Detangle!
Ive tried that so many times:nono:
that is a major No No for me!

Can I say from one blessed women to another...I LOVE YOUR HAIR!

Also, co-signing with the above! :yep:

I love having soft, sweet-smelling, hair everyday and a clean scalp can't be beat.

It's really helped with my getting a handle on my acne too!

I too have noticed washing and detangling daily prevents nots and mats. I tried doing the weekly thing and...it wasn't good. I lost chunks of hair. Not a good look.

I burn through so much product though! It's little wonder I have so many reviews. :lachen:

It's all worth it though. To think, all this drama and I still have a TWA. Oh, Lawd! :lachen:

I co-wash every other day...i don't know if that will change once i get out of the twa phase. i don't think it will though, because i love the way my hair feels and smells now!

Runner, how are you washing daily? Are you in braids.

I tried washing daily but when I only used my fingers my hair tangled more and more with each wash and when I used a comb I lost hair every day instead of losing it every week.

For the ladies that do wash daily, how long is your hair, and what style do you wear your hair in on a daily basis?

Lys

I cowash daily or at least run the shower over my hair and I don't see changing that routine for a while.

My hair has been very happy this past month and I don't want to change up.

Ok, I wash my hair daily, but if I want a nice twist out I have to skip a few days, which reaks havoc on my scalp. (doing that right now)

I am so sick and tired of my puff, the twa, and every other style that I wear after I detangle daily while under the shower.....

So ladies, what styles are you all wearing your hair in?

Mind you my hair is stretched sl in the back, chin on the sides, top of my lip in the front.... I have major shrinkage (which I like) but I am getting tired of these repetitive hair styles I am using for my wet hair....

Do you ladies get a lot of variety in styles?

Great question cuz I couldn't do it...
I have natural, fine, 4b BSL hair

I would need a good moisturizer to put in after. Then, i'd be worried about wasting the product by washing it out every day. I good moisturizer should last longer than that no?

When my hair was shorter, I was able to do so, but since my hair has gotten longer, there is no way I could do so.

My hair is BSL but I am in a protective style. Flat twists in front and Box braids in the back and I cover up the back of my hair with a 3/4 wig.

I cowash daily due to my gym workouts. However, I have not found the right conditioner/after care products but the search continues.......

I’m in love w/ cowashing :yep:. I would have never thought this was possible. It has been a misconception that black women should not wash their hair several times a week. I’m now on the cowashing challenge and me and my hair are reaping the benefits, my hair is thriving and is well moisturized.

I wash or cowash everyday. I'm starting a new co-wash system this week involving a different food each day. Yesterday was banana and yogurt and today is avocado. I think my hair likes daily cleaning/conditioning.

OT: I want my hair to be like yours when it grows up. It's beautiful. :yep:

 I poo and co-wash daily! I hit 4" today!

I seriously need to start doing this. May I ask what poo & co you use? I really think that my hair is begging for this but it is extremely dry(porous) and I just wonder if this would hurt or help it.

ETA: saw your regimen in your journal.

I workout 4-6 days per week, so I have to cowash daily to rinse the sweat out, so far, I haven't had any adverse effects. Sometimes, I leave all the condish in and bun until my next wash, and my hair  it. In colder weather, I wear protective styles and wash every other day.
