My hair is still breaking. It has gotten worse. When I run my hands through my hair, long broken hairs just end up all over my hands. I'm so beaten down right now, I can't even go into details. I'm just so sad and don't know what to do.

ETA: I relaxed my hair with Mizani for the first time on May 10th and my hair turned out very nice. Silly me, decided to do a hard core aphogee treatment about a week after that and my hair starts breaking. I had a desperate cry for help, per this thread http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=237057
Long story short, I did everything I could to restore the protein/moisture balance to my hair and I believe that I've solved that problem. I frequently assess my hair to make sure I'm not lingering on the extreme side of either protein or moisture. Therefore, I think the protein overload caused my hair breakage BUT it's no longer due to that and I don't know what is causing it. The breakage has gotten even worse than before. When I run my hands through my hair (in the manner in which you would seal your ends or moisturize your hair), I just have all these broken hairs all over the place; if I continue to run my hands through my hair, it will just continue to break. Hence, why I think my hair must be very weak or something. I feel like my hair is slowly creeping up back to shoulder length or maybe it's just my new growth causing shrinkage. I am currently 71/2 weeks post relaxer. I normally stretch for 12 weeks.
I've also assessed my ends and I don't have any split ends, so I don't think that's causing it. My regimine is as follows.
Shampoo with Kera Care moisturizing detangling shampoo once a week and deep condition with Kera Care Humecto right after the wash
Co-wash with Humectress once a week and alternate with Mane and Tail conditioner (protein) every other week (i.e.- one week humectress, next week mane n tail, so I use protein every two weeks, I guess).
Blot hair dry gently with towel and comb/detangle while damp
Protective styling- I either twist it up in a bun or clip it up with a bobby pin or butterfly clip
Moisturize with ORS Olive oil and Seal with Vatika Oil
I also massage my head for thirty minutes with a mixture of Vatika Oil and three drops of rosemary oil before I shampoo
No heat (except deep conditioner and occassional rollerset)
Rarely wear my hair down
No brushing; gently combing
I really don't know what it is.

for more advice.

what we go through to keep our hair on the up and up!
I'll try all the advice I've received from this board first and if all else fails, will consider going to a stylist, which I haven't been to in three years.
