Hi, I asked this question in my 'newbie' thread but I didn't want to keep:deadhorse: with all my bumping :lachen:. I want to retouch my texturizer after a 4 month stretch, but my hair is very very curly so it's hard for me to figure out where my texted hair ends and NG begins. So I was wondering if any texted ladies have tips/tricks to avoiding overlapping, because I really like the curl pattern I have now and I really don't want to mess it up. Thanks all, and again here's a picture of my wet hair with no product:

When I retouch I apply castor oil to the entire head and then proceed to put my texturiser on, I got this info on here. Some have used conditioner etc HTH....

plan to use vaseline next time i texlax to protect my length but also can"t tell the difference between the two

Yay, I'm not the only one ! So do you just guestimate where you should stop? Or do you take it longer/shorter than you think the new growth is?

Good question because I have the same problem. I won't retouch until June 6th after a 6 month stretch. However, I plan to go to a professional that has been highly recommended on here to do it, and I will take over after that.

I wish I had that option here. I spoke to the two 'ethnic' stylists in my small town and one asked why I didn't just relax instead of keeping my hair 'nappy' and the other was more interested in selling me facials for my 'horrible' skin :ohwell:.

I don't know what I am going to do about my retouch. I have decided to:

1. See how long I can go without a retouch
2. If by summer time I still can't see a difference between the two and I haven't retouched then I might just transition.
3. If I retouch then I will probably under guesstimate and underprocess to be on the safer side.

What's the point if I can't tell the difference?

Do a rollerset and aidry.

My texturized hair comes out nearly straight/loosely curled, my natural hair comes out only stretched. Easy to see the difference and because the newgrowth is stretched it's easier to handle
