OK, I've only been texlaxed for about an hour now, lol. But I am so happy I can hardly stand it!

I was SO tired of it taking me hours to just put a few Celie braids in my hair, all the tangling, single strand knots, and shrinkage .
.
I hated being natural. I started to hate my hair because it was so draining and exhausting to deal with it.

So today I texlaxed! :trampolin
I used ORS. My roots got straighter than I would have liked , but that's ok. I followed Sistaslick's advice to the letter. After I rinsed out the ORS, I put a whole bottle of Redken's Anti-Snap in my hair, followed by tons of Kenra Color-treated condish. Then I neutralized and neutralized some more. Then ORS pak and more Kenra. I used the blow drier on low to dry it and I LOVE the result. It reminds me of the girl from the Kay Jewelers commercial. It's thick and huge and curly. I love it so much. It's not all limp and lifeless bone-straight. It's like my natural texture, only better.

Anyone who is hating being natural, who is struggling with it but doesn't want a super straight relaxed look, I'd highly advise you to consider texlaxing. My hair still looks very much Afro textured, but I can get a comb through it without hearing tearing, snap crackle and pop. Even soaked and slathered in conditioner, it was torture combing my natural hair. Now I can comb it with minimal effort and WAY less damage. I might do it once or twice a year max.
Hooray for texlaxing!!!!!!!

I need DH to help me when he gets home from work.
I need DH to help me when he gets home from work. Once I figure it out I'll do a protein treatment. I did put in the Anti-Snap (which is protein) during the texlaxing process, so hopefully that should help too. Thanks for the tip!

Mine doesn't look that nice, lol. But I could run a comb through it, and that's a billion times better than before. I'll have to try my Noodlehead out and see how it looks...
