ladies who use nexxus emergencee...How do you use it?

I am experiencing some breakage and I want to try nexxus emergencee again. When I use it I use it dry but I need a little input. How are you ladies using emergencee? can I co wash and use this?

I used it for the first time recently. I applied it to my hair after a shampoo. I sat under the dryer for like 15 mins, rinsed and followed up with a moisturizing conditioner.

I like to mix it with another moisturizing conditioner and use it as a deep conditioner.

The same as the hardcore Aphogee.

There was a thread once where we contacted Nexxus and they said they don't feel it is necessary to leave it on for more than 3 min.

I guess they don't realize that relaxed hair just needs more sometimes.

I love letting it harden under the dryer. Great treatment,but not as drying as Aphogee 2 step.

I do it one of two ways depending on what my hair needs

1. Shampoo, apply emergencee, sit under dryer for 15 minutes with plastic cap, 10mins with no cap, rinse, lightly shampoo, nexxus humectress for 3 minutes

2. Shampoo, apply creamy protein treatment for 3-10 minutes, rinse, apply emergencee, 20 minutes with heat, rinse, lighty shampoo, nexxus humectress for 1-3 minutes

I shampoo then put on the emergencee. Then I sit under the dryer until it hardens. I rinse and then do a deep condition with castor oil and neutrogena triple moisture deep conditioner under the dryer for about 45 mins.

I have looked in Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart...they dont carry it at either of these places.

You can get it at your nearest beauty supply store (usually behind the counter) or at your salon

I use it the way the very original instructions said to, although I've added a shampoo after it and a moisturizing rinse-out conditioner.

The original directions used to be:

DIRECTIONS: Shampoo with the NEXXUS shampoo for your hair type. Apply an ample amount of EMERGENCÉE to completely cover the hair. Comb through. Cover hair with plastic cap. Leave in for 10 minutes with or without heat. Rinse with lukewarm water. Towel dry. Massage a small amount of NEXXUS HUMECTRESS ULTIMATE MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER into the hair to maintain moisture balance. Proceed with styling. EMERGENCÉE is an excellent pre-treatment for delicate hair prior to all chemical services.

I also use it the way the old direction say to use it. I feel 10 minutes would do my hair better than 2-3 minutes. I follow the old directions to a T!

I shampoo - apply Emergencee -use with a cap - 15-30 minutes and then without a cap under dryer until it gets dry - rinse - follow up with either Humectress or Kenra MS for about 15-30 Minutes ...then rinse....

Yes Naturals can use it...I am not Natural but I have seen where they(Naturals) have had good results

I use it according to the new bottle, Wash, apply Emergencee for up to 5 minutes. Shampoo again, and deep condition with Nexxus Humectress.

Nonie, how often do u use it?

I use it over the weekend alternating it with GPB so once every two weeks (One week GPB, one week Emergencee). When I didn't have GPB I did it once every week or every two weeks. I don't do any other protein treatment besides Emergencee or GPB.

Yeah, I do it weekly. It's not too much for my very fine relaxed strands.

Is it safe to use after a perm? I got a perm on Friday, and was thinking of using the emergencee on Sunday.

Last time I used Emergencee I put a few squeezes into a hair color applicator bottle and shook it up with water. I poured it over my hair and let it sit 2 minutes. Then I shampood it out and did a moisture dc. It was the easiest way and I have been using this for years
