No longer carrying the remorse of
my curlformers purchase.
I know I hyped them up...
but you don't really need them.
I don't feel so bad about returning them
because I can accomplish the same thing
with my flexi rods...
Actually I think these will last longer than curlformers.
So today I used my fabulous PIBBS 514 for the first time
  • used 1/2" red flexi rods
  • set with end papers, Suave Tropical Coconut & ORS LOCK & TWIST GEL:yep:
  • sat under Pibbs for an hour @ 50 degrees and it was completely DRY!!! Amazing under my pink ION... it would take hours on HOT...

The red 1/2" SUPER ROLLERS aka FLEXI RODS aka HOT DOG ROLLERS
are $6.99/pack at Sally's... I used 45 of them (4 & 1/2 packs).

Now, the real challenge is...
how long will they last... stay tuned...
I will keep ya'll updated on how it looks after I've slept on it...
with pictures... that is if I can get through the night with them.
I'm a bad bad bad sleeper, but I'm pinning them up tonight...
we shall see...

your hair looks gorgeous. I love flexi rods myself. And they do hold longer.
 
Very pretty, make sure you post a picture of the separated curls, and let us know how long this style lasts :grin:.

Are the papers keeping the ends flat on the roller? I always have to bend my rollers up on the ends.

You did a great job. The flexi rods look so nice and neat in your hair, AND you used end papers too. Wow, you definitely have a lot of patience and hair talent. How long did it take you to roll it up? How long were you under your Pibbs?

IMO, this looks better than the curlformer sets.

Ohhhhh my :shocked:. Ok...I've gotta try this. They are much cheaper than the Curlformers, so I'm gonna give them a try first. You did a great job....it is beautiful!

ETA: I posted my reply before I even saw the updated pics!!! It is so pretty...I've gotta try this with my new Pibbs! I hope to have such a great success. It just seems like the flexi rods are so tricky to use, but I'll see.

I have some ORS gel, but it's atleast 3 years old, do you think I should still use it?
 
I must admit, I'm a fan. You are so innovative. I first was thrilled with your innovative bun (I sent the link to a bunch of my friends), now you thrill me again with a beautiful set.

I just love your sets. You have inspired me to start experimenting again. I've just been feeling so lazy lately-doing hardly anything to my hair. But on the plus side i've gained a few inches so it may be best to just leave it alone huh :lachen:
