Your hair is beautiful, and your roller set came out really pretty. You remind me of Kimberly Locke (from American Idol). Are you really her in disguise
girrrrrl, your hair is so thick and pretty!! whatever you're doing is definitely working. it's growing so fast! i'm with faith. imagine how fast it will start growing once you start with the healthy diet and vitamins. you'll be past waist length by end of the year!
i'm loving your simple regime. it really reinforces the fact that less is definitely more. i'm gonna leave those roller sets to the rest of yall though!
. I just took a look at your pics... love your hair. I really like the color too. How exactly does the "John Frieda" system work? I really loved those curls...

Thanks, Peachtree!!
Well I air-dried my hair after putting in some Loreal Unfrizz Taming Creme and spraying it with John Frieda Dream Curls. It may have looked cute in the picture (it was still kinda wet then) but the next morning...
my hair was dry as a bone!! I haven't given up on it yet though. I plan to try the Dream Curls again this summer, maybe using activator with it instead, or Kiehls Silk Groom. I love the idea of not going under that hot dryer in the summer months!!
Godzooki , thanks for your kind words.... I totally, totally agree with your signature, "PRAYER ~IS~ POWERFUL!!!"
Adrienne , don't get me started on u...your hair is "da bomb"...it's absolutely beautiful!!! U have been my inspiration ever since I've joined this board.
Thanks for your kindness, really means a lot!!!
As for the "4B" thing, I'm still a lil confused.
However, I can say that I developed & refined my regime based on the advise of other 4B members (this board & old boards), and well, my hair has taken well to the regime.
Your hair is beautiful. I cant believe how fast your hair has grown.
I know exactly what you mean when you say your hair looks thin right after a relaxer. The same thing happens to me and I usually like my hair better after my first wash after Ive had the relaxer. It has more body and is much thicker.
Peachtree, I think that you have to update your signature to:
Current: Bottom of bra strap, healthy
Obj.1: Elbows, Oct/03 or sooner
Obj 2: Waist length, healthy, July/04 or sooner
Goal: Tailbone, Dec/04
You have great hair. You seem to grow urs about as fast as mine. In Jan I was collarbone like you, and in apr. I reached brastrap. My friends/family were shocked as was I!
Hey Zanna , I really like your take on my goals/dates. U know, I'm gonna strive for those dates, especially now that I've started my vits/health/fitness regime today.
I'm toooo excited about the new regimes
Thanks Emgurl . Like your family, my husband was pretty shocked too. He's so used to me wearing a curly ponytail, bun, or curly style, until he didn't realize how long it was straight. He thought that I was wearing a piece or something
Hi Peachtree,
You have lovely, healthy hair. I wish my hair looked half as good as yours. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll reach your goals much sooner than you think.
I thought I would add my admiration and congratulations to all the other posts. You have gorgeous hair.
I have not been around LHCF for quite some time and it was inspirational to log back on and see your pictures. You are definitely added to my list of hair inspirations!
Hey Den,
Thanks for the compliment girl. I posted a comment on another thread about your hair...u have a really beautiful head of healthy, long natural hair. The texture is really beautiful. U are soooo close to waist length yourself... keep up the awesome work.... and thanks again
U have really warmed my heart...especially by informing I'm added to your list of hair inspirations... I wish u plenty of warm successes on your hair journey.
OMG! i was out of town this weekend so i'm just now looking at your pics. your hair is beautiful!!!! wow!! and you have such a pretty smile. the braidout was my favorite. question: when you braid for a braidout, do you do cornrows or ponytails? how do you maintain it so that it lasts for 4 days? girl, you are an inspiration!!!
Hi dstdiva!

I do cornrows, 5 of them; 1 vertical on each side of my face, & 3 verticals in the back. It fact, my hair is "braided" right this moment. It's dried, but I'm leaving it braided until tomorrow. So take a look at my album tomorrow... I'll have updated pics of my "braided" hair as well as the braidout itself.
As for maintaining it... I just re-braid it. I try to follow the same wave pattern that's already in the hair... but it's difficult sometimes. 4 days is all I can go... I'm usually washing it out that night.
Thanks again for your kindness. Don't forget to check back tomorrow...

I just wonder how you do the roller sets by yourself, especially in the back?
[/ QUOTE ]
Let me tell ya', it's not easy
. Sometimes I have to take the roller out & re-do it, cause the hair can get really sloppy on the roller. I've learned to pull the back hair to either the left or right side of my shoulder & start to roll from that point. Once I have the hair on the roller, then I'll raise the hair up (with the roller still on the tip) & proceed to roll downward to my scalp. This way I can get a "even tension" across the roller. I hope that makes sense...
. Half of my disgust with roller sets is the "rolling"... that's why my "rolls" look hideous
....(the other half is the "drying time")... But one things for sure... for my hair, it's worth the madness
