Still in my cornrolls under my wig, I will be taking down and washing this Friday and putting them back in.
 
I have to take these braids out friday...didn't make the 8 week mark, but 7 weeks and 2 days isn't too bad. Will be wearing my phony puff for a couple of weeks, then I'm braiding it back up.
 
Still in my braids. This weekend is two weeks. They're a tiny bit fuzzy, but still good. I said I would start redoing them next week, but I can go longer.

I'll be doing this challenge again for the 3rd time but it'll be on my own time and not so strict this time around. So I'll just root for the other ladies on the side. GROW! GROW! GROW!
 
Oh yea about to start my wash session process with the oiling of the scalp and hair tonight and washing and DCing tomorrow. I will be braiding my hair right back up!

There in square box plaits. Sometimes two side plaits. Nothing special. The ends are pinned up to my head. No I don't M&S daily while my hair is in weekly plaits. I soak the ends in olive and mango butter moisturizer while I"m plaiting them up and leave them for a week.
 
So I used the Ojon Last night :lick: my hair was so soft washing it today with my Wen *as usual but with an extra umph. I know as if that wasn't the case. I could tell a difference for the better. I am sitting with a mix of Alter Ego Garlic Conditioner and Proclaim Argan Oil Hydrating mask on my head, Afterward I will be plating it and smacking on a half wig :)

Taking the boys to Chuckie Cheese to get out the house. :grin:
 
Just chilling in a bun until Friday. A permanent bun that is, same ponytail until Friday. I am so lazy at the moment that I refuse to do ANYTHING, I do wanna cowash though LOL.
 
Rocking a bun. I dyed my hair in May and I want my black hair back. Think I might dye it back in a week or 2.
 
Shampoo/DC my braids last night. Sealed with coconut oil and put them back in a bun. I'm going to try to start redoing them this weekend, if I have time. I'd like to freshen them up and wear them for another month.

Back to working out 3-4 days a week after a short break in work outs only doing 1-2 work outs since May-June :yep:

I feel good about it because i don't have to worry about my hair right now LOL! still only at 6997 steps for today, got to get my 10 grand in :grin:

after exercise you'd think I'd be there already. Maybe it read wrong. If I don't have it soon will go onto the treadmill to finish.

Off to take a nap, my hair feel so moisturized LOL
 
So I took out one braid to redo it. I'm so unmotivated to do my whole head. Redoing each one is more work then when I originally put them in. I think I'll just leave them alone until they look really bad, then maybe I'll take them out and start fresh with a new set.

Have you been in this challenge before? Yes.

What was your experience? My experience was great. Hiding my hair along with steaming was the first time in quite a while that there was an obvious difference in the length and condition of my hair within the span of a few months.

What length are you now? Not sure exactly. When I pull my hair, the longest pieces are below my bra strap, however, most of my hair is at my bra strap. I'll know for sure when I straighten in September.

What Length do you believe you'll be by the end of this challenge? Hopefully all of my hair will be below my bra strap.

WHat styles do you plan on wearing? Wigs, weaves, buns, and updos.

How often do switch up styles? Every week except when I am in a weave. For weaves it is 4-5 weeks.

Any Advice for anyone just starting out: Hair is a fabric. Treat it like an expensive one.
 
Tomorrow is wash day, still in my old raggedy bun.
IDK what imma do next week to my hair.........
 
Going to wash either Saturday evening or Sunday morning. I will set my hair in curlformers his week but I will put it in a high pony. Ladies I am experimenting with hair styles now, lol? Wig time again come September!
 
I am back in a bun for today bc I just washed it and left to go study so I might braid it up for tonight or something.
 
I've been wearing my hair in two puffs under my phony pony. I use these ear protectors to baggie my ends...so far so good.

3 weeks down. Hoping for 3 more, but that might be pushing it. I know it will at least be two more weeks because I don't have time to start the take down process before then.

Thanks JJamiah for the add. I will answer the questions before the end of the week and post a starting pic.. I have been hinding my hair since July and will be doing that for a very long time...
