2018 Edition: Healthy/long-haired Ladies, Can I Live Vicariously Through You?

Day dream: I am at the pool with with my friends. There's a bunch of handsome men chatting with us and invites us to come jump in the pool with them. Them secretly asuming that I won't get in because my HL hair has to be weave. I jump in with a splash and come back up with soaking wet hair hanging way down from weight of the water. I shake it.

I LOVE that one! Oh, and to take it up a notch: when you get out your hair looks like a long beautiful cloak around your body. All the men and women are staring at the otherworldly beautiful brown skinned princess in front of them in pure shock.

Its too late, I want unstretched hair that hangs on my back now. The sad thing is my unstretched hair will probably never touch my shoulders no matter how long it is. But I have hopes that once I reach waist length my texture will start to hang more, as if my fro has reached the point where it can no longer shrink 85%. Then maybe if I reach knee length straightened it might reach my hips unstretched. I would grow it to knee if it meant I could have it hip length in a wash n go. Who cares about straightening it!

I blame it on long, feminine, elegant, hair! All I know is Im gonna be "that wife" (that is pleasing to his eyes) to "that man" one day so these thoughts enter!! It's the hair!

Yeah, locs are really inspiring. But my texture honestly makes me feel like my hair will never be past my shoulders. I've seen others with hair my texture that are at tbl and their hair is only at cbl/apl curly. So it seems like it would have to be to the floor stretched to be waist length, let alone hip length! But I won't know until I grow it out. I know that for me I can't have hair thats longer than my finger tips can reach because then I wouldn't be able to detangle the ends anymore. So hopefully hip length curly will come to me somehow before I pass that length.

Honestly though, I'd be happy if fingertip length stretched hair translated to mbl curly. Mbl curly and I'll be content. I think that's more likely to be possible with my hair texture so that will be my goal, while hip length curly will be my fantasy. Goodnight!

Yes you would still be able to detangle if hair reaches past your finger tip. "How?" You ask....you wrap the section around your neck first! Which should shorten the section by a third. You gotta do what you gotta do. Tonight I will fantasize about me wrapping my hair to comb.

Here's an experience: When you trim your hair back to WHIP length and it feels super short. I remember the years post-BC where I wasn't even sure I could grow my hair to WHIP length. So that makes me laugh.

@FadingDelilah we can focus also on fro diameter! Ok so our hair doesn't hang, but we can be pretty lionesses with our manes! We can roller set our HL hair and blow all the Farrah Fawcetts out the watet!

Yasss! Looking like Disney princesses on the regular! Just imagine a hip length roller set We gone have that hair that gets us in trouble when we go on planes. Just like in your fantasy they'll have to pull us to the side, lol! "What's in here? Can I check?" I need to get a good growth aide.

I only have stories when I wear my hair out. I keep it hidden so...no stories. But ON CHRISTMAS THO!! I will have it out, I plan on doing the big fro/big earrings look.
