Whooopeeee! Finally got it right! I'm now on my 3rd day of a WNG using Queen Helene Royal Curl Shaping Creme! So excited. I loved the results but was only getting Day 1 hair. By day 2 I was losing moisture and curls were looking smooshed (doggone autocorrect keeps trying to make this say "smooched" LOL) and frizzy. I tried "refreshing," with water and moisturizer--basically a concept my hair does not "get." I can't use anything wet on my hair or I lose the clumping and body I get from the product on Day 1. So I've been experimenting with different things to try and get at least one extra day, but there was one suggestion out there in internet land that I had taken note of but had not tried: Giovanni Direct Leave In (already in my product arsenal) underneath Royal Curl. Honey...even my DH who has very little to say about my "hair journey" other than "It looks good, babe," commented "Your hair looks really healthy!" My DD had a party that first day and even my MIL told me my hair looked "cute." So I was just happy for the result. Day 2--hair looked pretty much the same as Day 1. I was shocked. Day 3 (today) not exactly the same, but I was able to leave the house! LOL :yay: All I did for maintenance was add a little of the Queen H Smoothing Oil (I think most any oil will do) to smooth some frizz and add a little shine and kept it moving! I really thought I was doomed to a life of daily WNG's or a slave to twisting my hair at night. I may not do this every time, but I'm so glad it's an option. Pic below:

Wow, that looks awesome! It really looks like a fresh WnG :yep: Are you gonna go for 4 & 5 day hair? :poke:
sipp100 - :lachen: you know if it was not Valentine's Day and my hubby hadn't called me to say we have 8:00 reservations, then yes, I might see how long I can ride it out. At some point, I will wax poetic on the merits of the dry hair twist out to extend a WNG (without re-washing) but I must try it a few more times to make sure it wasn't a fluke!
