What natural shampoos do you use that is not distructive to natural hair ? What are the results when you change to this natural shampoo ? Are the any natural shampoo products that are moisturizing ?

I'm struggling with trying to find a good shampoo product ( outside of the ACV rinse ) that is not stripping to my natural 4a/4b hair. HELP

Ditto. Jason Sea Kelp is a moisturizing natural shampoo.

I got Aubrey Organics Island butter shampoo that is all natural, but I can't tell you how it's working til I get out of these braids.

Can this be brought at bss or onlin only.

I bought mine online, but alot of people buy Aubrey Organics at health food stores.

I just started using Jason Sea Kelp shampoo that I bought at a health food store/grocery. I've used it a few times now, and I think it is a really good shampoo/conditioner for hair. I'm texturized, but like naturals, I almost wet my hair everday. Anyway, you know how when you shampoo your hair, when you're rinsing the shampoo out (or even while it's still in) how your hair feels a little different? Almost like you can feel it being "stripped"--well, I don't feel it with the Jason shampoo. You can tell immediately that it's really gentle. This will definitely be my new staple shampoo brand--I'm thinking I will use a regular shampoo maybe once a month to "clarify".

Hope this helps!

the black african soap works really well to cleanse hair without stripping it.I'm not natural im a lightly texturized 3c/4a

I use Jason Natural Sea Kelp shampoo and conditioner most of the time.

The only natural shampoo I've used and liked is super expensive (komenuka bijin) so right now I'm alternating:
Softsheen Breakthru
PM Instant Moisture

Whenever I get around to unpacking an order that came in 3 weeks ago(!!), I plan to experiment with making my own.

Sea Kelp (I like it)

Dr. Bonners (I've heard of it)

Carols Daughter (I really like this one)

I have used Dr. Bronners... it is good but dilute it because some have complained of it eventually drying the hair.

Natures Gate Herbal Shampoo... this is okay.. but I use it as a lightweight clairifying shampoo.. it gets the hair clean but doesn't strip it, Most health food stores will have it

I alternate between:
Grandpa's Pine Tree Tar Bar Soap!!! Love it
Jason's Sea Kelp and Aloe Shampoo and Conditioner Love it
