And I was honestly amazed at how different she looked with her hair straight and loose versus kinky in a bun. I think I actually like hers stretched. it suits her. usually i like kinky hair shrunken. that was crazy but very much the norm at those braiding shops.
a lot of the people that they braid up ain't got no hair, myself currently included so they don't usually think anything of allowing them to "neaten" up the look by snipping strands. you can tell them no and they'll usually kinda listen, but her solution works too. she was like, "and so i just stopped going and braided it myself"
