I just received my order of elucence relaxer, moisture balancing conditioner and extended moisture repair treatment. Any way I did not think about a neutralizing shampoo when I ordered (so used to buying kits) /images/graemlins/blush.gif what else can I use? I CAN'T wait for another shipment. Please help me!!! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just relaxed with Elucence sensitive scalp and If you are going to use another neutralizing shampoo make sure you shampoo real well because I do notice a difference when using the same line but good luck. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

sorry it took so long to reply but thank you both for the info. I did use a different neutalizing shampoo and evereything turned out fine. It was my first time using elucence products and I can proudly say I am in LOVE /images/graemlins/ooo.gif. My hair is so soft and shining. I followed the relaxer with the extended moisture repair treatment for 45 min under dryer and then the moisture balance for 15 w/o heat.

Briesmom, which relaxer formula did you use and did you base your scalp before hand? Thanks. I'm thinking about trying it.

Hi Cleo2377 [image]http://waves[/image]
I use Elucence normal formula- for medium hair texture. I did not base my scalp. I planned on trying it since so many of the ladies here do it, however I was to lazy /images/graemlins/frown.gif but I never had in the past and as always things turned out fine /images/graemlins/laugh.gif. I don't know your hair texture but I just wanted to say that some people compain that elucence does not straighten well enough for them. ( I happen to like the way it turns out) so just to warn you, you may not want to try there gentle formula.(which I believe is a no lye). Hope you find the info helpful

Thanks Briesmom. I think the elucence regular would work well on my hair, I'm 4a. ...Since you didn't base( I never do either, but I had been using no-lye) did your scalp burn at all, or is your scalp not sensitive when it comes to lye relaxers? The last touch up I had was with lye and it burned (I may have unconsciously scratched a little) Thanks. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

HI Cleo2377, The directions say to leave in for 15-18 min. when I reached exactly 14 min. I felt a tingle in one spot on my head (near the hairline). I know I probably rubbed that area). That was it no burns or scabs. I believe that the relaxer is really gentle because normally I am very sensative to relaxers. (I once had a hairdresser tell me that she did not want to relax my hair anymore because I burn to quick /images/graemlins/crazy.gif).

Your situations sounds just like mines, so I think I'm going to order it for my next touch up. /images/graemlins/smile.gif ...Did you really like your results? Was it straight, but not bone straight?

Thanks

It was straight but it had soft waves through it. I love the look and have gotten lots of compliments on it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif. More importantly for me is that it didn't have that dull look that you can get with alot of other relaxers. Before I put the cond. in it was shinning. My mother came over while I was doing my hair and she said I can't believe how nice it looks. She is planning on using it for her next touch up. So in answer to your question. I LOVEDED the results /images/graemlins/laugh.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
