Adding Kool Aid to Henna to make hair red

has anyone done this? someone told me adding kool aid (red) will turn the hair reddish. is this true or is it just a stupid idea? TIA

The lil hood girls used to do this back in middle school for a temporary color.

I thought it was funny to see them with red collars on their shirts.

They did not add it to henna, just used straight up kool aid.

Just make sure it doesn't rain.

I turns hair reddish on its on. Personally I would not use koolaid if I wanted redder colors.

I would try cognac or red wine if I wanted redder, although I am not sure I like the idea of using alcohol.

I have heard of Paprika being used, but Henna really does well on its on.

I used to do that when I was in highschool. We used to add orange to the red to make it brighter.

With that being said my hair was dry as a bone. Don't do it girl!

lol I knew it sounded suspect but I figured it was better to ask. ill stick to colored lacefronts. thanks for stopping m from making that mistake.

Don't do it, you'll look crazy. Everyone will be able to tell you used Kool-Aid. It's kind of cute/funny on little girls playing dress up, not so much on a grown woman. I like the idea of color lacefronts or clip ins.

Well, don't some people add pectin to their henna to make the rinse out easier? Couldn't you add red jello and have the same coloring effect as adding Kool-Aid?

The white girls in my school used to do that. They used kool-aid but most of them used those smelly markers to make highlights.

One of my old homegirls used the bottle of koolaid with the clown on the front (back in the day) and it gave her the most beautiful bordeaux color. It was kind of like henna in being that it didn't change her hair color (jet black) but you could see it when the light hit.
