I wanted a break from my hair. I have not had it done professionally since my BC almost a year ago. I went to the Wal-Mart salon because one of the beauticians there presses hair. I was really looking forward to having someone else doing my hair. I was told it would be 1 1/2 hour wait. After 2 hrs and 15 min she still had 3 people waiting ahead of me and one lady in the chair getting a cut. Needless to say I walked out. It looked like she was trying to do the "easy" customers first and then do me. I have always hated that about going to the shop, they can always get you, but it always seems to take longer than they tell you. I'll be doing a wash and go this week because I just don't feel like pressing my own hair.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, but probably a blessing in disguise, she is obviously not the person you want pressing your hair. I hope you find a trustworthy, dependable person to press your hair soon.

Yeah, she probably would have been yanking your hair and having a funky attitude. Maybe you could start a thread trying to find natural-friendly salons in your area?
