My hair is airdried right now, and I put mango butter mixed with jojoba and olive oil on ends, but they FEEL dry. I know they cant be but why does it feel rough? Should saturate the hair to notice a difference??? Help?Someone?
No, I always airdry, but this is the first time I airdried without tying it down, also, I waited until my hair was dry to put anything on..I only dried it with breakfree in it

I think that was your problem. You waited till it was dry. A lot of ladies here either apply the products while hair is soaking wet or when it is halfway damp. I've never waited till my hair is completely dry to apply a product. Maybe you should have used a small amouunt of oil with the breakfree.
I also apply a product to my hair when it is still damp, but almost dry. Waiting until my hair is completely dry is too late for me because it won't absorb well. Right now I use just a touch of Elasta QP Mango Butter alone and it leaves my ends shiny and moisturized.
okay okay..i have been holding out......but i know a way to get perfect airdrying results EVERY time, even with inches of new growth...
wash and condition as usual, comb hair straight back and apply leave in conditioner than seal in with an oil. Gather ur hair at the nape of the neck and secure with a scrunchie OR coil that hair into a bun (ponytail method) and then put a scarf on ur head.. When the hair is about 85 percent dry, add some more liquidy leave in to the ENDS OF HAIR ONLY and proceed to wrap the hair in the desired direction. throw a scarf on ur wrap and when its dry it will look like u just went to the salon...shiny with body and straight..this always works for me. I dont exactly know my hair type but its not one of those smoother textures. Even when im 3 months post relaxer i get salon results. I actually think my hair comes out better when I do it rather than going to the salon!!

Hey, where were you when I started a thread on air drying the other day?
I use pure coconut oil from the vitamin shoppe...works wonders EVERY time. Im in college and dont have access to good hair dressers so i had to learn to start doing my hair myself. I started the regimen that i wrote about above and when i went to get a touch up at the salon back home, my hairdresser said my hair feels really good and she's never said that to me before...I must be doin something right!

Thanks for sharing this Sunny! I always air dry (for the past 7 months) and I love hearing success stories with airdrying.
sunny, do you use an elastic when you do your bun? I tried without but my hair wouldn´t be smooth then. But a hairdresser once said to my sister that elastics in wet hair were breaking her hair...
