Someone here has to be as sensitive as I am! LOL!
I have known skin issues in that I can't use any product with added fragrance. However the only hair product I've had a problem with is S-curl moisturizer. Last Sunday I tried out my AOHR conditioner for the first time and woke up the next day with burning and itching all over but concentrated on my hairline and hands. I tried washing it out with my regular shampoo (Elasta QP creme shampoo) but every time I try, my scalp itches like crazy the next morning.
When I had my s-curl allergy I kept using my normal products, just eliminated that one and it was good enough. Do I need a special hypoallergenic routine to combat this allergy? Or is my old shampoo just dead in the water for me now?
I'm still waiting for the itching to go away. I tried Johnson and Johnson no more tears this evening, haven't conditioned or moisturized or sealed all week. My hair is dry as a bone and frizzy as hell but I am afraid to put anything on it.
What's the protocol around here for allergic reactions????
