I am so emotional right now. I live in the UK and it is 6 in the morning, OBAMA is the Presient-Elect of your country. God has spoken, Americans have chosen. America with its history of slavery, jim crow and racism has transcended and defied all the odds/naysayers and shown to the world that race and colour mean nothing when you want a dynamic, able leader. How many so-called liberal or tolerant countries incluidng mine (UK) would ever elect a black leader?? Let this be a message and a lesson to them, may the wind of change continue to sweep around the world. May the world be a better place because of this hsitoric moment.
Today histroy has been made, America has taken its place once again in the centre of the world stage and I am sooooooo proud of you all.
God bless you, God bless America, God bless Obama and his family.

I have to leave for work (d**n it!) in a little while but I will be back to celebrate with y'all!!!

I couldn't have been more proud at 6:30 am this morning arriving to vote and already a long line outside the polls and other polls as well. I felt so PROUD. This is history. Anna

Me too. At the polls at 6:30 am on Tuesday. Still looking at the news coverage at 3am Wednesday. THANK YOU LORD.

I couldn't be happier. I feel that our ancestors are all looking down on us smiling. I felt proud and responsible as I stood in line for four hours, in the cold.
