An "8 in '08" challenge?

FOR THE PJ'S: An "8 in '08" challenge?

Hi! I was thinking that maybe we should start a challenge for the PJ's of this board. In the "8 in '08" challenge, you would pick 8 of your favorite products (shampoo, conditioner, oil...etc.) and stick with those products for the year. I think that maybe it will help us kick our habits and use just what works for our hair, I for one really need to. I think it would also be a money saver in the end. What do you ladies think?

8 products? That sounds good... but I'm thinking: You know how you use something and it's good in the beginning, but then it doesn't seem as good anymore? I'm always afraid that that might happen.

This sounds like a good challenge and I think I will save a lot of money too. I think I'm going to be hooked on Nexxus products for 2008, lol.

yes, this happens to me to especially w/ conditioners. I'll think about this a little more. I have found two conditioners (both protein and moisturizing) that work for me. I will just alternate between the 4. I also have a claryfying poo on my list.

You're pushin it Do you mix the oils together? That could probably be considered 1 product...maybe


I may add somewhat of a "cheat", like you can swap out a product once if it really isn't doing anything for you. The purpose of the challenge would be to use what you know definitely works for you.

Yes, I mix the oils when I oil rinse. I also have a mixture in a bottle that I use on my scalp.

How many do you need? I thought 8 would be a decent # of products to have, it reduces clutter by alot...plus it's catchy

O.K....so 8 is apprently not a good numbererplexed. What do you think it should be? Keep in mind, this is an attempt to relieve PJ's from buying products that are not needed and save some cash...
