I had a very very good hair stylist back at home and she told me that Cholesterol was not good for the hair. Has anybody else heard that before?

I never heard of this before, lots of pple have great results from using it, but for me it does nothing but sit there, even w/heat, and I don't have all day and night to wait for something to work. It leaves my hair hard, even if I spice it up, but my 10 en 1 the consistency reminds me of cholesterol but it softens, strengthens, and adds shine to my hair w/or w/o the spice.

Yeah. I heard that the cholesterol molecules are too big to penetrate the hair shaft, and it just coats your hair. That's why your hair is so soft when you use it, but it won't allow any moisture in. Whatever, there is no perfect conditioner out there I've found. I say if it works for you, keep using it.

Well its works for me, if it ain't broke....
I have never heard it wasn't good for the hair. I use cholesterol every now and then...I also use Queen Helene Cholesterol Hot Oil once or twice a week and its bangin on my hair. But then again a lot of things that are supposedly bad for peoples hair (mineral oil, petroleum, etc) my hair likes.

Actually, I've heard this from several different stylists, but I don't recall the reason either. 
CAPlush's explanation sounds good though. I also agree that if it works for you, more power! 
I used it before, but I didn't like it, but I don't remember why. I've been tempted to try it again, because alot of ladies have success with it.
