I had it when I was transitioning and a bit beyond. It was dry, coarse, very short, resistant to moisture and just recalcitrant. I don't have it anymore. It grew out, started blending with the hair in the "general population" and all is well...

you give me hope!

OMG! I thought I was the only one with this issue. I hate doing the middle of my head. especially when I'm doing my wash and gos. It just doesnt know how to act. I definitely do not look forward to detangling the middle of my head. curls? forgettaboutet!

i love your hair! it's so cute.

i know y'all are tired of seeing the back of my dome and the siggy, but i cannot multi-quote for some reason. i wanted to quote and respond to more replies, but for the sake of "the dome" i just want thank all of you for your input and advice and i will definitely try these tips. i do use oils & massage and slather condish all extra for that part, but i'll have to be more attentive. i don't think it's due to sleeping b/c mine's is in the very tip top of my head and i can't sleep on it. i would really like to keep track on this area and see if i can get some definitive results so as i go i will post updates/ or results. Thanks, chicas!

I have the same thing in my hair just in more than one place. What I have learned (which happened by accident, I was about to cut the section...) I use a different type of dc in those areas. I use 3 different types of dc depending upon the section of hair, some places need something that the other doesn't. My next experiment trying a protein treatment in a section that doesn't quite curl all the way.
