anyone has a start a loc tut?

I've been curious on how to do locs and I can't seem to find any tutorials on them. Does anyone have any youtube videos and or website(s) I can check out? I'd like to learn how to do them but need a visual.

She started with SL, but maintains them with a 4 point rotation. She explains that in her videos. Have you decided how you want to maintain them?

If you search on youtube "my loc journey" you should be able to find videos that will help. They usually just show picks of the end result not the process though. I've been doing a lot of research and it seems like how you start depends on the length of your hair, your texture, and your financial situation. You can comb coil if your hair is short, two strand twist, or braid to start your locs. I decided to do micro braidlocs because of my texture, two strand twists will start to unravel after a few weeks, and normally in my hair smaller braids and twist last longer. Plus I want alot of locs. I would start with sisterlocks but I'm not willing to spend that kind of money. I will be interlocking/latching to maintain because I want to be able to wet my hair when ever I want and also it is not safe to palm roll microlocks.

I think latch hooking will be the way to go. And I like the micro locs but I'm going to make them a tad bit bigger and latch hook them at home. I would like to go to the salon to start them but if I can start/maintain them from home, then hey, I'm all for it. My hair is short and (broken in certain spots from my itchy spots) but I'm working on that. And I have a relaxer that I want to grow out.

Oh and I do have a crotcher needle
