I read somewhere that you can use alma powder to darken your hair. I'd like to try this instead of henna & indigo. Has anyone tried this with success and what recipes did you use? I intend to start my ayervedic (sp?) regimen soon to make more healthy hair choices for my hair. I hope I can tweak more hair growth in the winter. It is my slowest growth months.:ohwell: I'd appreciate any recipes you have!:yep:

Sorry I really hope someone chimes in with a recipe...I tried to use it on my mom's grays after I used henna, all the indigo did was turn her grays a deep auburn....she was not a happy camper lol.

Bumping...

Amla is claimed to help naturally darken hair, so maybe you can make a paste from amla powder and maybe use amla oil also and see how that goes.

I have used the Amla powder, but have not noticed any darkening yet. .. hope it makes it stronger though.
