after i finshed using this it made my hair stiff dry and frizzy, it was last week and when i wet my hair it feels wierd, any suggestions on what i should do.
Sorry to hear this JaneBond...strong protein conditioners will do this. It's important to follow with a good moisteriser or a hot oil to soften the hair. Aphogee is a fantastic treatment to strengthen the hair...but it does need to be followed by a good moisteriser.
Are you referring to the balancing conditioner? If so, I believe you still should follow it with a moisturizing conditioner. I'm not sure since I never use the balancing conditioner. I just use any moisturizing conditioner I have on hand.
i follow it with the balancing conditioner AND my own moisturizing conditioner.
i would recommend that you rewash your hair, sounds like u could still have a little of the 'treatment' left in
I used Aphogee on my daughters natuarl hair and of what a disaster. I din't know all the steps. I never used it again on hers or mine for that matter. I prefer letting the salon do mine. YOur right though, you must moisturize afterwards, Aphogee has a special conditioner for after the treatment that woeks well to get the hair back to normal. I see that your from Maryland. Do you know of any Dominican hair salons in the Gaithersburg area or near there? My sis is moving there next month. There or Silver Springs. Please send me a PM regarding this.
I used aphoggee once n HATED IT. It stunk, and I didnt see any results. If in search of a good reconstructor I recommend Nexxus Emergencee or Joico Kpaks Reconstructor. They smell good specially the Joico and rinse out leaving your hair soft and moisturized, not stiff and dry. Id suggest doing a couple of preshampoo treatments. Try mixing a good oil such as hot six oil or EVOO w. a moisturizing conditioner and apply it on damp hair. Leave it in for as long as u want and then do your usual hair washing rituals. If thats not good enough try daily or every other day conditioner washes, use a good serum like John Frieda's frizz ease the Regular one and airdry.
