Hello ladies,

I just wanted to give you a warning. I was so excited the first couple of times I used my Babyliss Ceramic Pro iron. It got my hair super straight. I bought it last August and I have only used it 6 times (I'm natural and don't straighten often). By the 4th time I used it,the the coating started coming off of the plates. The last time I used it it was soooo bad that pieces of coating were all throughout my hair. This shouldn't happen after only 6 uses and I thought it was ceramic when I purchased it but I guess it's just coated. I sent a complaint to them via their website, it's been a week and a half and I still haven't heard a response. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Well now I'm in the market for a new flat iron so I am taking suggestions.

Sorry to hear Lala :nono:

I see the Babyliss appliances everywhere too.
I hope they get back to you with a resolution; perhaps your money back?
Keep us posted.

bumping- I want everyone to see this so they don't buy it!

Sorry to hear that happened, but thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the warning . . . hopefully they will respond to you soon.

I did a post about the babybliss. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=156135
Mine is a ceramic also. It's ok. I just relaxed my hair and it looks good. I like it more now that I took the comb attachment off. I think between my mother and I, we have used it about 20 times and nothing has melted. I hope you get your money back!!!

I have 2 Babyliss flat irons... one I got at TJ Maxx/Marshalls for cheap and one that came in my cosmetology school kit (I'm not a cosmetologist...never finished my clinic hours/took the test :wallbash:)

I like them.... I have one that is 2 years old that still works, still glides, no chipping, no snagging, etc.

I seriously think that these flat irons are like many other products...meaning that sometimes there can be a bad "batch" of them.

At the minimum that is poor cust srvc if they STILL have not gotten back to you. Hopefully you will get a proper resolution to this.

I was looking for the model that I have on the net and I can't even find it. I think it has been discontinued, maybe this is why.
