Batana Oil - Ojon Anybody Still Using This?

Hi ladies,
Ages ago when I was relaxed I used Ojon. Expensive, but worked well at the time. Like usual, I tried it for a while then stopped. Since then I've gone natural and did a twist out with some leftover Ojon I had in my stash and was surprised how well my hair turned out.

Does anybody still use this? Where online is it safe to buy the real deal if anyone is still using. And if you stopped using it, could you explain what you may have started using in it's place?

Thanks

Ojon got bought by Origins I believe. Sad really as I liked their stuff.

I wouldn’t even attempt to re order as I know the products won’t be the same.

A lot of people would be upset about the Revitalising Mist as it was a cult product.

BUMP - Is anyone still using Batana Oil? How's your hair doing?

So whose the new hookup? Ladies, I need the deets please.

It's funny you mention Ojon oil—I was looking into it just a few weeks ago (I have breakage from over-processed color).

Denis Simioni, the creator of Ojon, has launched a new hair care line called Tweak'd by Nature. One of the standout products in this line is the Dhatelo Restore Rejuvenating Hair & Body Treatment Oil, which you can find [here]. Unlike Ojon products, this oil doesn't contain Batana oil. So I don't know if it would work as well.

I plan to purchase Batana oil on Amazon or eBay.

Is it as think as it looks? Do you use it for sealing? How does compair to other oils like coconut, castor, or shea?
i only use it as a treatment prior to washing. its heavy like castor oil when melted. having experimented with it over the years, using it as a hot oil treatment prior to shampooing is wonderful.

I used some 2 weeks ago (my last bit) and washed it out using a Co-Wash and it didn't wash out completely. I could still feel the residue. I still put my deep conditioner on top of it though. I was in a hurry.

What does the batana oil do for your hair that other oil pre-poos don’t do?

I used to have 1000 oils i would prepoo with. Now its narrowed down to Vatika Oil & Batana Oil

Batana washes out better than Shea Butter and Castor Oil.
I use Batana oil when I wear the two-strand twists. Because oil breaks the styling foam cast... the batana residue is light enough to be layered under my styling foam if that makes sense. (With the shea butter & castor oil, my twists are heavy and won't plump if that better explains it). The LOC and LCO Method leaves my strands too weighed down.

Yes, they sell their products in QVC and that’s where I bought the original OJON from and don’t judge me that I still have an almost full container that is still valid! No funky business or discoloration. Looks fresh!
