That black gel if used too much will most def increase the dryness you felt which is not a good look:nono:. I remember when my mom would get her hair braided when goddess braids were in and the lady always used that brown gel. It ate her hair up like nobody's business. It seems to be something spewed directly out of the loins of satan :lachen: A couple you may want to try w/o alcohol and great hold is Qhemet Honeybush Tea Gel (www.qhemetbiologics.com), Fruit of The Earth Aloe Vera Gel (the clear kind in the sunblock section of the store), and you seem to already know about the Fantasia. I like the blue one best which should also be good for the colored parts of your hair :yep:.

Thanks alot Eisani yeah I ran out of that Blue Jar Im about to start getting salon size gels the way it goes so fast:lachen: Im so anxious like Ginuwine to try this method with the IC

i guess maybe me using a brush made it unhealthy:ohwell:

actually its not always bad to use this kind of gel. Ecostyler Protein Gel isnt all that bad and it has most of the ingredients that gels we use have (curl activator gel, fantasia IC, etc) heres a link to a thread that talks about it on happycurls.com

i say that if you are able to make it work for you with out any side effects, then continue using it, and if you do face problems with it, well then just discontinue use! do what works for you.
