OK, I have a block of shea butter coming via fed ex and I have a jar of jane carter nourish and shine. I love the way the butters make your hair feel so smooth, and shiny. buttttt there is a problem, using the products are so thick and clunky. Is there a way around this, how can you soften them to make the easily spreadable.

to make real butter spreadable (I hate the stuff but hubby loves it) I microwave it in a little jar for 5 seconds.....will it hurt the integrity of the jane carter and pure unrefined shea butter if I do the same thing?

The Jane Carter Nourish and Shine container has directions on it for microwaving - so it must be okay. :yep:

The instructions on the bottom of nourish and shine say if it gets gritty, melt in microwave for 10 secs, stir, and refrigirate. I don't think it does anything to the products.

I prefer not to nuke products

you can put it in a container and sit it in a pan of really hot water

or mix/blend them with lighter oils for a creamier consistency

IRRESISTIBLE, THANK YOU. I container of hot water, will it soften the shea butter up enough so that i can gently use it...

you all are right about the jane carter, thank you!!
