Mine is the "real deal" stuff from Oils By Nature. It's solid/semi-solid @ room temperature and it's not smooth. It's kind of grainy and I just don't seem to get the amazing results from it that I hear other ladies on the board speak of when talking about their coconut oils.

So, what's a good one to get?

Jarrows Organic, The one from Puritans Pride, it doesnt have a name on it (great when they have the 2 for 1 sale) Barlean's, Garden of life, geesh girl there are so many

There was another one I was eyeing , I gotta find it again

I think if it says 'Organic' Extra Virgin its the best kind and absorbs the best

The Spectrum unrefined organic one below is my favorite one and that I use. I do have the LouAnna brand also, but that one's refined and doesn't do a good a job as my Spectrum one does.

Now there's some I've seen that uses these below, and I'm not sure how they compares to others, for I haven't purchased any of these yet.

The unrefined Spectrum is the only brand/type I've used since 2002. I currently purchase it at Whole Foods. Good stuff. :yep:

I learnt on YouTube that if you can eat it you can put it in your hair! In the UK I buy Holland and Barratts own brand (*Virgin 100% pure) 423g for £9.99 but have just discovered that you can buy Nutiva's brand (*organic and 100% pure) 823g for £18.99 from Revital who have national stores in the UK.

Mine is like yours I'm very happy of the results for my DD and I , Iput in few seconds in microwave and it's ok ...
Cecilie .

I have Parachute which I really do not like...I do not like the sweety scent..I have some canned coconut from the Arab Emirates..don't like it either. My favorite is LAXMI coconut in the glass jar..I like the lumpy, grainy texture of it when solid, melted texture is just right and the scent is subtle.

Nutiva was the one I was eyeing :yep:

Louana was trash. Dabur was aight but more expensive. I prefer parachute. It does have a sweet slightly nutty smell. My mom says it smells like popcorn. My parachute oil goes solid when I put it on my closet. But it melts very quickly and doesnt harden when its stored lower like on my dresser.:yep:

I use the Parachute Brand...
it stay in a liquid state...
I just got it...
It works well

I started out using The Vitamin Shoppe brand, which is organic and all, but now I am in love with the Parachute brand. It smells like toasted coconuts :lick: (like a whole bunch of juicy coconuts were left out in the sun, cracked open, and the oil was poured into the bottle). It comes in a bottle with a flip top which makes it really easy to use and as ST stated, it stays in a liquid form :yep:

I use jungle's EVCO found on their website and at wholefoods and when i'm being cheap I use EVCO found in walmart's pharmacy.

ive seen that one, now I'm gonna get one! I remember it smelled like an almond joy

I was using Spectrum Coconut Oil until I found Health Support Raw Organic Coconut Oil.
This oil smells just like fresh coconuts, the container states Extra Virgin Cold pressed and unrefined.
I think it absorbs better than the Spectrum brand.

Yeah this is the one I have, and at room tempearature its like Oil. The female that mention her was grainy, you don't get that with this brand, that IRRESTIBLE replied with. I love this brand. I also got it when they had their buy 1 get two free. The one I have is Organinc Extra Virgin too.

I have the parachute one, i would like to try NOW that is a good brand also.

I get a huge amount(a little over 1 cup) for 4.99 from the DeKalb Farmer's Market. It's organic extra virgin.

I also have this...I hate it:nono: It takes FOREVER to get the stuff out! You have to make sure the bottle is warm to squeeze it out.

I use this one

Sit in on the floor of the shower while I'm showering and it turns liquidy from the steam. LOVE IT from head to toe!
