So much optimism in here..i love it!

lots of luck ladies, take advantage of this hot weather, get those scalps stimulated! keep those ends tucked under and forget about it. stay consistent with your vits, drink lots of water, eat good! dont forgets eggs and fish...

by the time summer is over you will be astonished!!!!!

Candy, I was thinking the exact same thing. She cut far to much of my hair off. So I wont let her cut my hair again like that. I am really debating if I want to go back. I have so far to grow now. I am going to stay positive on it now. I am finished crying about it. lol

I am sooooo happy to say I've finally reached armpit length!!!!!!!!:grin:

I'm about 2" from bra strap length now. I've took loadsa pix, just need someone's blutooth cord to upload it onto the computer....

In order to maintain the growth I'll continue to eat fish at least three times a week, drink plenty of water and KEEP my hair moisturized. Might even go back to the good old carrot juice:lick:

I basically do the crown and glory method with a full head weave....Ima keep doing this till my hair's down to my knees:lol: :lol: :lol: It works so well:lol:

By the way, Candy, it looks like you're already at bra strap length...:look:
The other day I bought La India....this may help too.
 
I'll take pics in july I promise;) !
I will try then some heat style I didn't try heat style since august 2005 (I'm excited because i will see my real lenght:grin: )!!!

Hi chick. yeh i got there in April you know, was a surprise!
 
i'm about 2 inches away. been doing alot of ponytails. i wore in a wrap a couple of times for a job interview and a night out on the town. my hubby assisted me with a slight trim last week (1/4 inch) and i dusted like crazy.

other than that it's pony and little manipulation

Ladies, I think I'm going to have to officially withdraw from this challenge:( .

I got a relaxer yesterday and was hoping to be about at armpit, which I was. But I noticed that my bone straight ends looked really thin compared to the rest of my hair, which is texlaxed. So....I got them trimmed. Now I'm back to an inch below collarbone :mad: .

I hope to be at brastrap by this time next year. It's really frustrating, but at least my hair looks full and healthy now.

Aww, Phoenix. :( I know how hard it must have been to "let go" of those ends--its something that many of us struggle with. But I think you are absolutely right in that now your hair is full, thick, and healthy.... and so your BSL hair will also be thick and luxurious. :) Your hair will shoot back to Armpit Length very soon in this hot, summer weather, and you'll be back on your way to BSL in no time.
 
OK - 5 Months Later since I joined this Challenge and I think I am still on track! For once I am on track with something!!

I have had relaxers more frequently than desired but I am hanging in there. I have been wearing my hair bunned inside an octopus clamp. They are the best! No tension on your hair what so ever. When I pull it out, it is rare that I see a broken hair. Aveda has done well with my hair as well. Meet you at bra-strap in December!
 
I'm in. I'm a couple of inches past shoulder length.About 4 1/2 inches to bra strap. I doubt that I will make it to bra strap by December, but I'll give it a go. I'm also in the APL challenge, so this will give me some added motivation. Happy growing ladies!
 
I'm feeling discouraged. I really need a trim but I'm scared they'll cut off too much and I'm scared that, in the end, I'll be short by that much...and I'm just feeling discouraged...Maybe I should start looking for another bra...you know, with a higher strap or something. Make it my "hair measuring bra". Would that be cheating?:confused:

There's no point in getting a bra that sits too high on your back unless you can delude yourself into thinking you actually accomplished your goal. In this case you would only be cheating yourself anyway.
 
I made it to the top of my bra strap last month. I was so happy. Now I'm working on my hair growing to the bottom of my bra strap by the end of 2006. I'm feeling very optimistic. I love this warm weather! :)
