Hi! So I recently tried stretching my hair by using a concentrated tip of a blow dryer on my roots. It worked wonders but didn't last . It basically curled back up after a while. This was done after I'd been wearing a wash & go all day.

Has anyone else tried this method? I know that Taren916 posted a video on it. What were your results? And suggestions?

Yep, same thing happens to me. After a while it just shrinks back up again lol. So I just don't bother doing it anymore.

The moment you start sweating humidity etc your hair will shrink again its a given unless you prepared to do it daily i dont see the point ....:ohwell:

Someone had success using the diffuser tip and a good leave-in. Stretch the hair while drying with the big diffuser tip. Any1 try this?

I band my wash and goes overnight so by the morning they're pretty stretched. Diffusing does nothing for me so I gave up on that.

Are these fresh wash and go's? Is your hair still wet? Or is this apart of preserving a wash and go? I think I need to start preserving mine a day or so instead of doing it each morning.

I found out that glycerin in my products were causing it to snap back in a shrunken state quickly. Once I eliminated glycerin/humectants, the stretched roots lasted, and even become more stretched the next day.

How you prepare your hair the first day and how you sleep on it is what is going to give you longevity

Have you checked out the wash and go thread?
