Can a corrective be done on wet hair?

Whoo child I wouldn't do it.

Because once that relaxer hit those open pores on that scalp...All hell will break lose and you with think your scalp is on fiyah. My mom did a corrective on me on wet hair one time, I was jumping up and down screaming and crying. I was little and I still remember the pain.:perplexed

Anyways, plus your hair is at it's weakest point when it is wet.

Thank you. That's what I thought, but this lady at work told me that her stylist said that a corrective had to be done on wet hair so he could see the underprocessed parts and that didn't sound right to me.

maybe she just meant to wet the hair and let it dry so you would be able to see the texture difference.

Yeah that's what I asked her, but she said no he told her that her hair would be wet when putting the relaxer on.

Of course it can be done... if your goal is a BC.

LOL. I should probably tell that lady to drop her stylist, but I'm really hesitant in giving people advice when it comes to hair.

Um, I wouldn't tell her anything if she didn't ask for your advice. We LHCF memebers have all been there before trying to help somone who doesn't wnat our help.

Sad to say, but I would just watch her hair fall out little by little and then say, "Wow, I'm sorry that happened. Do you think it was the corrective relaxer?":ohwell:

You are hilarious!:lachen:

But OP your friend call always mist the hair with some water and let it airdry untouched in it's puffy state (un-ironed or antyhing). The texture will rear it's head.

 Good one!!!!!

I apologize, I really wasn't trying to be cold but soooo many black women have been religiously taught the wrong things to do about their hair. Most of them don't want to take anyone elses advice, so you have to be really careful about suggesting things cause' from my experience they are stuck in their ways and have to find out the hard way.

I know we have all been there before and tried to tell someone something, but they just weren't trying to hear it. Basically, people have to be open to advice before you can give it.:D
